In this world of social media how do you get your band to stand out and be noticed? Technology is here to help and you may be surprised with what it can do. I have put below a few social media tools which i think could really help anyone looking to promote their band.
1) Onesheet - Quite simply it makes amazing websites for free that look incredible. In their words ‘Build a beautiful, maintenance fee website and mobile web app in under 2 minutes’
2) Soundcloud - share your music anywhere (including on our platform and apps).
3) Fanbridge - build your fanbase and make great looking Facebook pages
4) Bandcamp - sell your music and merchandise directly to your fans
5) Brian Industries - alert people to your gigs and sell tickets in real-time. Get discovered through mobile and web apps that learn what your customers like and put you in front of them. Cross promote your band with complimentary businesses like bars and restaurants for before and after your gigs.
The Lumineers - Ho Hey . They are definitely worth checking out
Brian Industries Ltd. is the company behind Find Stuff To Do, a Web app, Facebook app and iOS app that’s setting out to do exactly what it says on the box. But why? “We believe location-based search is fundamentally broken and we want to personalize it to the individual,” says William Roberts founder and CEO at Brian Industries. Alright then.
This Friday’s song is Bullet by The Herbert Bail Orcherstra
Give it a go if you like the following: Arcade Fire, Fleet Foxes, Blitzen Trapper and even if you don’t its worth a listen.
Exciting news party people!
Brian and his team have been working tirelessly to bring you more events and as such we have launched our promoter platform to the public.
What does this mean and why should you care?
Very good questions! Well this means that there should be loads more content for you so that we can better match you up to the perfect things going on around you. It means that anyone in the entertainment industry (musicians, artist, theatres, restaurants etc) can upload their event listings in real-time so that you don’t miss out.
Whats more is that if you have an event that you want to promote you can do it with us for free once a month. We think thats pretty cool and we hope it changes this industry for the better.
Promote your events for FREE here
If you have a venue, event, band, gallery…the list goes on, that you really want to be on our apps but isn’t please let us know and we will do our best to get them on board.
As always if you have any questions please feel free to get in touch.
Best wishes,
Will
